Triodos closes Opportunities Fund

13 July 2010, Caroline Mason

Triodos Bank has closed its £3m Opportunities Fund after 2 years and will return money to investors.  The fund only made one investment of £320,000 in those two years.  It was targeted equity investments into mature social enterprises looking to grow.  However, Triodos could not find enough businesses to meet its criteria.  It will continue to its business of lending to social enterprises and charities.

Investing for Good does a wonderful job of oiling the wheels of the social investment industry.
